Junior Black Belt Program

FOR WHITE BELTS

While you're learning how to block, punch, and kick you will also be learning

UKE KATA

(Pronounced "Oo-Key Ka-Ta")

KATA are exercises that help

teach us how to put our

punches, kicks, and blocks

together so that they will ALL work

when we need them to.

The first KATA you must

MEMORIZE

is called

UKE

UKE means "to block"

UKE KATA is our blocking exercise.

To help you learn and practice at home, you can watch the video and print out the

instructions.
